In San Angelo, what started as a program of six teenagers in 2010 charged with introducing youth to Jesus Christ, has exponentially grown to a ministry of over 500 high school and college-aged adolescents meeting weekly to share their Christian journey. The staff and volunteers of this organization have become an active presence in the everyday lives of Angelo State, Lake View High School, Central Freshman and Central High School campuses, Wall High School, and many other surrounding area schools.
Young Life originally started in 1941 as a ministry designed to target unchurched high school aged students. Over the year as Young Life has grown so has its ability to minister to more groups of students. Young Life is now in over 100 countries around the world and as ministries designed to reach middle school, high school, college, teen moms and kids with special needs.
San Angelo Young Life currently has ministries for high school, college, and teen moms, and hopes to continue to add staff and volunteers in order to grown into ministries of other needs.

Each week Young Life volunteers host we call Club. Club is designed to create a fun, safe, and exciting place for kids to come meet friends, play games, sing songs, laugh, and hear they are loved. Volunteers don't just do club! They spend countless hours mentoring, hanging out, and earning the right to be heard with these students. They also host weekly studies and prepare the kids for amazing camping opportunities.
Volunteers are making the difference in the lives of over 500 students each week!
